ARS of Japan Industrial Fabric Shears
Now in stock!
Technical cutting excellence, made in Osaka, Japan. ARS, established in 1876, is best known for producing high quality, hard-working garden tools such as secateurs and pruning saws. We are very impressed by these industrial-quality fabric shears. If you're in Adelaide you can come and try our sample pair in-store. They feel beautiful in the hand (solid and serious, yet not too heavy) and slice through fine or heavy fabrics with satisfying ease and accuracy.
High carbon steel blades with hard-chrome plating are extremely sharp and durable. Dial nut can be used to tighten or loosen the blades. In the unlikely event you'll ever need to, the blades can be replaced, but occasional professional sharpening should keep these going forever. (We can attest to the fact they sharpen up nicely since we needed to get a nick taken out of ours after one of our young 'helpers' mis-used our shop pair... the chap at Butlers did a great job and was very impressed with the quality.)
Die-cast aluminium handles reduce the weight (total 240g), reducing fatigue if you are doing a lot of cutting. 260mm total length, 106mm blades.
Sorry left-handers, these are only available in right hand version.
