PRICE IS PER QUARTER METRE 120cm wide, made in Japan Made in the famed denim manufacturing prefecture of Okayama. Japan has become renowned for the production of superb quality traditional-style denims. Woven on an old-style shuttle loom, the neat selvedge (white/coloured edge) is produced as the shuttle passes a continuous thread back and forth. 'Nep' refers to the fluffy white irregularities of this denim, a character imparted by the beautifully imperfect mechanical shuttle loom process. 11oz is a substantial mid-weight denim that is easily handled by most domestic sewing machines. Excellent for the Closet Case Morgan Jeans pattern, denim jackets of many styles, overalls, Grainline Moss Skirt and more. Sanforized (pre-shrunk with a steaming process), will shrink no more than 5% with washing. Whether or not you choose to pre-wash is up to you! Will soften considerably with age, wash and wear. Final image shows denim raw (top), one wash (middle) and factory wash (bottom) to demonstrate how it will age.
